Bridges School, located in the heart of a residential neighborhood, was founded in 1987, a preschool program designed to teach the values and skills that will prepare children for success in the world at large.
It is a play based environment where children can be appropriately introduced to academics while they learn to resolve conflicts and play cooperatively, a safe place where children can develop their natural curiosity and make discoveries about the world around them.
We provide:
a curriculum based on Developmentally Appropriate Practice
activities that acknowledge each child's unique developmental timing, personality and learning style
a credentialed teaching staff
child/staff ratios that meet national professional standards
an open environment where parents are welcome
Bridges has been accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC) since 1989. The Academy recognizes programs which meet national standards of quality in early childhood programs.
The NAEYC website, www.NAEYC.org features valuable parent resources, books, brochures and brief articles on topics related to the education of young children. You can also find a complete listing of accredited programs that can be located by state, city or zip code.
